Research funding means much more than just paying research projects to the Mukoviszidose e.V. It is the aim to raise awareness on Cystic Fibrosis and make CF-research attractive to scientists and research groups. Collaborations should be initiated in order to work together on the development of better treatments for cystic fibrosis disease and improve care.
The “Mukoviszidose Institut gemeinnützige Gesellschaft für Forschung und Therapieentwicklung mbH” (Cystic Fibrosis Institute - a non-profit limited company for therapeutic research and development (MI)), is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Mukoviszidose e.V. (German cystic fibrosis association) in Bonn.
The MI was set up to support cystic fibrosis research, to network researchers, and to provide results from this research. Together, we work to strengthen research in the field of cystic fibrosis in order to improve treatment and make life easier with the disease.
